Khalsa Chicken & Fish Shop

Our shop is tucked away behind the Tanushree Marriage Home in Mehrauli. It’s a bit of a funny spot because people are always dressed up for weddings nearby while we are back here dealing with fresh fish and chicken. We get our stock in very early every morning. It’s important that everything is fresh because that’s what people around Ghaziabad expect from us. My brother and I run the place and we don’t have much time for sitting around. The floor is usually wet from the ice but we keep things moving. We’ve got regulars who have been coming to us since we first opened. They know we don’t mess around with the products we buy. We have a specific way of cutting the meat that our customers seem to prefer. It’s noisy in here with the chopping and the fans going, but it’s a good kind of noise. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn until we close up late at night. Sometimes the wedding music from next door is so loud we have to shout to hear each other, but we just laugh about it.
