The shop here in Sahibabad Industrial Area stays loud from morning until the evening. You can always hear the sound of metal cutting or the sparks from the welding machine hitting the floor. We are located at C-62 in the Shalimar Garden area, which is a busy spot for this kind of work. Most of our days are spent measuring steel bars or bending frames for gates and windows. It’s heavy work and our hands are usually covered in grease or dust by noon. We started this place because we knew how to work with our hands and there is always someone needing a repair or a new grill for their house. The space inside is a bit cramped because of the raw materials and the big machines we use. Sometimes people bring in sketches on scraps of paper and we try to figure out how to make it work for them. It gets very hot in the summer with the torches running, so we drink a lot of tea and take breaks under the small tree outside. We don't have a big office or anything, just a desk in the corner with a lot of old invoices and a calendar on the wall. It's just us doing the work every day, making sure things are sturdy and done the way they should be. It's a grit and sweat kind of job, but it keeps us going. We hope to stay here for many more years, just doing what we know best with the steel and tools we have.
