Jeewan Singh Rawat

I’ve been working out of D 127 in Lajpat Nagar, Sahibabad for a good number of years. It’s my home and also where I handle all the business stuff. My name is Jeewan Singh Rawat and people around here just know me by that. I didn’t see the point in coming up with some complicated company name when it’s just me and a couple of guys helping out. The area has changed a lot since I first started. There are more shops now and the traffic on the main road is getting worse every month. I usually spend my mornings sitting at my desk near the front window. It gives me a good view of who’s coming and going. Most of the work involves talking to people on the phone and keeping logs of what’s been delivered. I keep the tools and the supplies in the back room. It’s a bit cramped but everything has its place. My wife complains about the dust because there’s a lot of construction nearby lately. I tell her it’s just the sign of things moving. I don’t use any fancy computer systems, just a big notebook and some pens. If you come by, you’ll probably find me drinking tea. I like to keep things simple. If a job comes in, I look at it, decide if I can do it, and then we get to work. It’s a quiet way to earn a living. I don't need a fancy office to get things done right.
