Jay Ambey Ispat Udyog

Jay Ambey Ispat Udyog is out in the Light Industrial Area at plot 56B-2. It is a large shed where we keep all the iron and steel stock. The air is always thick with the smell of metal and welding smoke. It isn't a place where you would want to wear a nice suit because you would be covered in grime within ten minutes. We have a tiny office room built into the side of the warehouse where the paperwork gets done. It is usually quite hot in there, especially during the summer months when the sun beats down on the corrugated roof. We have a water cooler that is always empty because we drink so much. The workers are mostly guys from the nearby colonies who have been with us for a long time. We don't have any formal meetings or performance reviews. If there is a problem, we just talk about it on the shop floor. The noise from the grinders can be quite loud, so we often have to yell to be heard. It is hard work and the days are long, but there is a sense of satisfaction in seeing the trucks loaded up at the end of the day. We are just a small industrial unit trying to keep the machines running.
