Jain Rrasoi

Our kitchen, which we call Jain Rrasoi, is located at A-12 in Nanddini Kunj. We’re pretty close to Fatima Convent School, so we get a lot of parents and teachers dropping by at different times of the day. Ghaziabad is a busy place, but our little corner in the 201001 area feels a bit more like a neighborhood. We focus on simple, home-style cooking. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy plates or artistic presentations. We just use metal plates and bowls like you’d have at home. The room is small, and sometimes the fans aren't enough to keep it cool when the stove is going, but we do what we can. I handle most of the cooking myself, and I have a young lad who helps with the cleaning and serving. We don't have a printed menu that changes all the time. We just make what we know how to cook well. People around here seem to appreciate that. It’s a very low-key environment. We don't spend money on marketing; our customers are mostly people who live nearby or work at the school. It’s just a plain, honest eating house where the focus is on getting the food right. We’ve been here for a while and plan to stay for as long as people keep coming through the door. It’s a quiet life, but it keeps us busy and the kitchen stays warm.
