J M D Communication is located over in Sahibabad, specifically at 168 in Lajpat Nagar. It’s a bit of a tight spot, but we’ve made it work for a while now. The street outside can get a bit narrow when people park their scooters poorly, but that’s just how it is around here. I usually spend my time behind the counter dealing with whatever comes through the door. It might be someone looking for a specific cable or just wanting to put some money on their phone. Since we are in a residential part of Lajpat Nagar, we see a lot of the same families coming in. There’s a tea stall not far away, so the smell of ginger tea usually drifts in during the winters. The shop itself has a lot of little drawers for all the spare parts and connectors. It’s not a corporate office or anything like that, just a regular place where you can get things sorted. I keep the radio on most of the day to keep things from getting too quiet. If you are walking down this part of Sahibabad, you will see our sign. It’s nothing special to look at, but we stay busy enough. Some days the heat is a bit much, but the ceiling fan does its job. I’ve lived around here for years, so I know most of the shortcuts and the people in the neighborhood. We are usually here until the sun goes down and it’s time to head home.
