We’ve been setting up shop here at D-34 in Sector B-3 of Tronica City for quite some time now. If you’ve ever been down this way in Loni, you know it’s a busy industrial spot with a lot of noise and movement. Global Machines Engineering Co. isn't some big shiny corporate place with a glass front and a receptionist. It’s a real workshop where things actually get made. Most days involve us looking over messy drawings and getting the machines calibrated just right. It’s loud and there is usually a bit of oil on the floor, but that is how engineering goes. We handle a lot of different jobs, mostly metalwork and parts that people need for their own factories nearby. Sometimes someone comes in with a broken piece of equipment and we have to figure out how to make it work again without any manual to help us. It takes a bit of time and some serious head-scratching. We aren't trying to change the world, just doing what we know how to do. The guys here have been working together for a few years, so we have a good rhythm and we know who is good at what. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer months when the sun hits the metal roof. We just drink a lot of tea and keep the big floor fans going. It’s honest work and we stay busy. If you find yourself in Tronica City looking for us, look for the sign near the corner. We are usually there from early morning until the sun goes down, just getting through the pile of orders we have on the old wooden desk.
