GK Machinery & Paints is at Shop No 14, Plot No S 18/5, in Site4 of the Sahibabad Industrial Area. If you spend any time around here, you know it’s a heavy-duty kind of place. There’s always the sound of machinery and the smell of chemicals and paint in the air. Our shop is packed with cans of different colors and various parts for machines that people come looking for. It’s a bit dark inside because of all the shelves, but we know where everything is. We spend most of the morning mixing paints or looking up part numbers in old catalogs. The floor is covered in spills and marks from years of work, which gives it a bit of character, I guess. We get a lot of workers from the nearby factories coming in for supplies. It’s a rough and ready kind of environment, not for people who are afraid to get their hands dirty. We have a small fan that doesn't do much in the summer, but we stick it out. Sometimes we run out of a popular paint base and have to wait for the next delivery truck, which can be frustrating. We don't have any fancy displays; everything is just stacked where it fits. It’s a practical shop for people who need stuff to get their own jobs done. That’s how we’ve always run things here in Sahibabad, just getting the work done day by day.
