Rajiv Machines Pvt Ltd is located on Street Number 6, right by the Main Gate of the Punjab Expeller Compound on Meerut Road. It’s a very busy industrial stretch. You can hear the sounds of machinery and trucks passing by all day long. Our workshop and office are right there in the thick of it. We’ve been operating out of this compound for quite some time. The building is older and has that specific smell of metal and engine oil that you find in places like this. We have a small area partitioned off where we keep the computer and the files, but most of the action happens out on the floor. It’s a bit of a maze with all the parts and machines we have sitting around. We don't really have a cleaning crew that comes in every day, so things can look a bit lived-in. We focus on the mechanical work and making sure everything is built right. The team usually shares a pot of tea in the morning before we get stuck into the day’s orders. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We wear overalls and get our hands dirty. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We don't have any big slogans or mission statements. We just show up at the Punjab Expeller Compound, do what needs to be done, and try to get the orders out on time.
