Running Om Shiv Earthmover out of the Dev Marble Market on NH-24 means we see a lot of heavy traffic. We are located in Bemhta, right near the Hapur By Pass. It’s a busy area with trucks hauling marble and construction materials all day long. Being near the Colombia Asia Hospital makes it easy for people to find us when they’re coming from the highway. Our lot is usually full of heavy machinery or parts that have seen a lot of use. There’s a lot of mud when it rains and plenty of dust when it’s dry. We spend our time fixing up earthmovers and making sure they’re ready for the next job. Our hands are almost always covered in grease, and there’s a pile of old tires in the corner that we haven't gotten around to moving yet. It’s a rough and tumble kind of place, but that’s the nature of working with big machines. We have a small cabin where we keep the books and take shelter when the weather gets bad. It’s not fancy at all, just a place to sit down and have a glass of water. We’re right in the middle of all the action on the bypass, so it’s never really quiet. People stop by to ask about rentals or repairs, and we just tell them how it is without any fancy talk. It’s a gritty, hard-working environment and we’re okay with that.
