We’ve been here at E-35/1 in Kavi Nagar Sector 17 for a good while now. It is an industrial area, so there is always noise from the machines and trucks coming in and out. The workshop gets pretty hot in the summer, but that is just how it is when you are working with metal and tools all day long. Most people just call us Ghzibad Mechfab. We started out small and stayed busy because there is always something that needs fixing or making. My desk is usually covered in drawings and oily rags. Sometimes the tea guy comes by twice a day, and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon when we take a ten-minute break. People drop by the office with all sorts of requests. Some want a small bracket made, others have bigger parts that need looking at. We don't have fancy leather chairs or a big reception area. It is just a workspace where we get things done. Most of the guys here have been with us for years, so they know exactly where every tool is kept, even if it looks like a mess to someone from outside. If you walk down the lane in Sector 17, you will hear us before you see us. We focus on the work right in front of us. It is simple, steady work that keeps the lights on. We don't spend much time talking about abstract ideas, just the actual physical parts we handle every morning.
