Gautam Steels

Gautam Steels is located at Plot No. 401/11 in Loha Mandi on BS Road, within the industrial area. This whole area is dedicated to the steel trade, so it’s a very busy and noisy environment. Our plot is basically a large open space where we keep all our steel stock. There are no fancy offices here, just a small shed where we keep our ledgers and take shelter when it rains. We spend most of our time outside, overseeing the loading and unloading of trucks. It’s a tough business and the competition in Loha Mandi is quite high. We’ve been here for years, so we know most of the other traders around BS Road. The ground is usually covered in iron dust and it can get quite muddy when it rains. We don't use any fancy marketing or have a polished sales pitch. We just tell people what we have in stock and what the price is for the day. It’s a very direct way of doing business. We start work very early, often before the sun is fully up, to beat the heavy traffic on BS Road. It’s a tiring job, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing the trucks go out fully loaded. We are just a regular family-run steel yard trying to keep things moving. We hope the market stays steady for a long time because this is all we know.
