Dhampur Ki Rasoi

We operate out of E-25 in Ghaziabad, and it’s more of a local kitchen setup than anything else. The name means Dhampur’s Kitchen, and that is exactly how we treat it, like a real kitchen at home. We aren't located in one of those big fancy markets with neon lights; we are tucked away in a more quiet spot. This means we don't get too many random people walking in, but the ones who do know exactly why they are here. The space is always filled with the smell of whatever is on the stove that day, usually something simmering for a few hours. I spend a lot of time sourcing the ingredients because I don't like using the cheap stuff you find in the big bulk stores. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out with the chopping and the cleaning. We don't have a big menu that changes all the time; we just stick to what we know how to make well. Some days are exhausting, standing on your feet for ten hours, but it’s the kind of tired that feels okay at the end of the day. The neighbors are good people and they don't mind the noise or the occasional smell of frying spices drifting their way. We just want to keep things honest and simple here in Ghaziabad. No big plans, just a kitchen that stays busy and feeds people who appreciate a decent meal.
