Devson Steels

Down here on B.S. Road, things are always a bit loud. Devson Steels is located at C-15 in the Industrial Area, and it’s exactly what you’d expect from a place that handles metal. There is a lot of dust and the smell of iron in the air most mornings. We have been in this spot for quite some time. The building itself is older, with some patches on the walls, but it holds up well. We spend our time moving stock and checking orders. It’s heavy work, and our clothes usually end up looking pretty rough by the end of the shift. The road outside is full of trucks, especially in the afternoons when everyone is trying to load up at the same time. Sometimes we have to shout to be heard over the noise of the machinery next door. We have a small cabin in the corner where the paperwork gets done. It’s got a fan that rattles, but it keeps us cool during the summer months. We don't have any shiny signs or big advertisements out front. People who need steel know where we are. It is just a regular group of us working here, trying to keep things organized. Lunch is usually brought from home, and we eat together in the back area. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady and we know the business well enough after all these years.
