Chetna Steels

We’ve been here at Plot No. 221, Loha Mandi, Near Dav Chowk, for quite a while now. If you know the area near Dav Chowk, you've probably driven past us. People around here just call us Chetna Steels. It's a busy spot with all the trucks coming in and out, but we like it that way. We mostly deal with iron and steel, just the heavy stuff folks need for building things. The yard gets dusty and it's loud, but that’s just how it is when you're moving metal all day. We start early most mornings, getting things sorted before the sun gets too hot. My cousin and I run the place with a few workers who have been with us for years. They know exactly where everything is stacked, which helps when someone is in a hurry. We don’t really do fancy ads or anything. Most people find us because someone else told them to come here. It’s a straightforward business. We weigh the material, load it up, and that’s it. Sometimes we have a cup of tea with the drivers while they wait for their paperwork. It’s not a fancy office, just a small room with a fan and some old chairs. We keep records in big ledgers mostly. If you’re looking for steel, you just show up and tell us what size you need. We try to keep enough stock so people don’t have to wait. That's pretty much our daily life at Chetna Steels. We just keep working.
