Our shop is right on the Hapur Garh Delhi Road, which stays busy with vehicles passing by all day long. We mostly handle things related to mobile phones like recharges, new SIM cards, and small accessories like earphones or chargers. It is a small space, mostly just a counter and some glass displays for the phones and cards. I spend a lot of time on my feet talking to people who are having trouble with their connections or just need to add some balance to their accounts. The road outside is always loud with horns, but we are used to it by now. We also keep some basic stationery and maybe a few snacks for people who are waiting. Sometimes the internet connection for our recharge system goes slow and we have to wait a few minutes, which can be a bit frustrating for the customers. We try to help everyone who walks in, whether they are locals or just someone passing through on their way to Delhi. It’s a simple setup we have here, nothing fancy at all. The walls could probably use some new posters, but they have been like this for years. We just keep doing our work, making sure people can stay connected with their families. It’s a small business but it keeps us busy from morning till the sun goes down and we lock up the shutters.
