Bihar Tubes Ltd operates out of the Himsager Apartment complex in Greater Noida. We are in unit A2/543. Being near Jalvayu Vihar in the P-4 sector makes it easy to find, though it’s a bit funny running a tube business from an apartment building. We use the space for all our planning and paperwork. It is a quiet residential block, so we have to keep things low-key. We don't have heavy machinery running in the living room, obviously. Most of our work involves coordinating deliveries and talking to clients on the mobile. The view from the balcony is just other buildings and some patches of green. It’s a far cry from a dusty factory floor. We have some computers set up and a lot of box files on the shelves. Sometimes the lift is slow, so we end up waiting around with our tea cups. Greater Noida is still growing, so there is always construction nearby. We hear the drills and hammers all day. It reminds us of why we are in the tube business. We don't have a big front desk or a receptionist. If you knock, one of us just gets up and opens the door. It is a very direct way of doing things. No corporate layers, just a few people trying to keep the orders moving across Uttar Pradesh.
