Our facility is at 23-Site IV in the Sahibabad Industrial Area, out in Ghaziabad. It’s a massive place, as you’d expect for a steel operation. There is always a layer of dust in the air and the constant roar of the furnaces or the rolling mills. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a clean white shirt. We deal with large quantities of steel, moving heavy coils and sheets around with cranes all day long. The scale of everything is just big. We have a lot of people working different shifts, so the gate is almost never closed. It’s a noisy, hot, and demanding environment, but there is a certain rhythm to it that you get used to after a while. We aren't here to make things look beautiful; we’re here to produce steel that goes into buildings, cars, and pipes. The offices are tucked away in one corner of the site, but even there, you can feel the vibration of the heavy machinery through the floor. It’s a lot of logistical work, tracking tonnages and making sure the trucks are loaded correctly. We don't have time for fancy talk. We just focus on the heat and the metal and getting the orders out to the customers in the district and beyond. It’s a grit-and-grime kind of business. The site at 23-Site IV is huge, and it can be a real walk to get across.
