Beijing Bonanza

Working at Beijing Bonanza in the Vaishali Sector 5 Food Court is always a bit chaotic. Food courts are loud places by nature, with people shouting orders and the sound of pans hitting the burners. We are right in the middle of all that noise. It’s a small space behind the counter where we do all the cooking. Sometimes it gets really hot back there, especially when the lunch rush starts and everyone wants their food at the same time. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can, but sometimes there is a wait. That’s just part of being in a busy food court in Vaishali. We spend a lot of time chopping vegetables and prepping the sauces before the doors even open. Our hands are usually busy from start to finish. We don't have time for fancy talk or complicated menus. It’s just straightforward food for people who are hungry and in a bit of a rush. You see families on the weekends and workers during the week. We see a lot of faces, though we don't always get to learn their names. It’s a fast-paced life, but we like the energy of the food court. We just keep our heads down, watch the orders, and try to make sure every plate that goes out is what it should be. It’s a simple, hardworking life here among all the other stalls and hungry people.
