Ayyappa Tools & Engineers

We are based in the Rajender Nagar Industrial Area, which is over in the Mohan Nagar part of town. Our workshop is number 80/9 and it is mostly filled with the sound of grinding and metal hitting metal. We are Ayyappa Tools & Engineers and we spend most of our time sharpening tools or making specific parts for other factories nearby. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and oil spills, but we try to keep it as clean as possible for safety. It is a very loud environment and we usually have to shout to hear each other over the machines. There is a small office upstairs but it is mostly used for storing old blueprints and keeping the lunch boxes. The heat in the industrial area can be quite bad in the peak of summer, especially with the machines running hot. We have a few benches where we sit when we are taking a break and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed despite the hard work. We do not do any big advertising or have a sales team. Most people find us because they heard about us from someone else in the area. We just focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the tools are sharp enough for the jobs they are meant to do. It is a simple engineering life and we are happy to stay in our corner of Mohan Nagar.
