Ashu Bhathure Wala

We are located at 11-D in the Hauz Rani area of Malviya Nagar. It’s a pretty busy neighborhood and people around here know us as Ashu Bhathure Wala. The shop is just a small room really, with the big frying kadhai right out front so everyone can see what’s happening. It gets very hot near the stove, especially in the summer months, but that’s the job. We don’t have much in the way of seating, just a few spots where people can stand and eat while it’s hot. Hauz Rani has a lot of narrow lanes and we are right in the thick of it. You can hear the scooters zipping by all day long. I started this because I knew how to make a decent plate of food, and it just grew from there. There are plenty of other places to eat nearby, but we have our regulars who come in every single morning. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint and the floor is always a bit messy from the flour, but it’s a working kitchen. We don't have a menu printed on fancy paper, it’s mostly just written on a board. We close up when the dough runs out, which usually happens by the afternoon. It’s a simple life, just making food and talking to the neighbors in Malviya Nagar. We don't try to be anything we aren't, just a local spot for a quick meal.
