Apco Foods India is right near the Shiv Mandir in Ram Nagar, at 274-B. Being so close to the temple means we hear the bells and the chanting every day, which is just part of the background noise for us now. The building is a simple one, and we use it mostly for storing and packing our tea products. Ram Nagar is a busy area, so there’s always a lot of people moving around outside. Inside, we try to keep things as organized as we can, but with all the bags and boxes, it can get a little messy. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving stock from one side of the room to the other. There’s a small area near the window where we do most of the packing. We use simple tools and just get on with it. Sometimes the heat in the summer makes it a bit tough, but we have a couple of fans that help a little. The smell of the Shiv Mandir incense sometimes drifts in and mixes with the tea smell, which is quite nice actually. We aren't a big corporate office; it’s more of a local workspace where we just focus on the task at hand. If you’re ever in Ram Nagar, you just look for the temple and we’re right there at 274-B, just doing our daily work.
