Abstraction Architecture & Interior

Our workspace is in the basement of SC 57 at Jaipuriya Sunrise Green in Indirapuram. If you’re around and smell something good, it’s probably Nazeer Foods nearby. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is nice for us. Abstraction Architecture & Interior is where we spend our long hours. The walls are covered in blueprints and there are material samples tucked into every corner. It’s not the biggest place, but it fits everything we need. We do a lot of sketching and talking about how to make a room feel right. We aren't interested in sounding like a big firm. We just like the work. Sometimes we’re out at sites getting our boots dirty, and other times we’re hunkered down here. Indirapuram is a busy area, so there’s always life outside. We have a few desks pushed together and a lot of pens that always seem to go missing. Most of the time, we’re just trying to figure out the best way to use a small space or how to get the lighting just right. It’s a hands-on kind of job. We don’t have a receptionist or anything; you just walk in and one of us will look up from a drawing. That’s just how we operate at this Ghaziabad spot. We often stay until the lights go out in the rest of the building just to get a design finished. It’s quiet then and we can really focus.
