Touchstone Gems & Jewellery (I) Pvt. Ltd.

Our place is located at E-106 in Sector-8. It is an industrial area, so there are a lot of workshops and small factories around us. Touchstone Gems & Jewellery (I) Pvt. Ltd. has been in this building for quite some time. The ground floor is where most of the work happens. We have several workbenches with small lamps where the staff sits for hours. It is quiet inside compared to the noise of the street outside. We have to keep the gates locked most of the time for safety reasons. It is not a showroom where you can just walk in and browse; it feels more like a busy hive of people focusing on tiny details. The air smells a bit like metal and polishing wax. We have a small pantry in the back where we make tea several times a day. Sector-8 is a busy place, and parking is always a headache, so most of us come by bus or scooter. The building is a bit grey and looks like all the others on the block. We do not spend money on fancy decorations because the work is what matters. Every evening, we have to double-check all the cabinets and lock everything away before heading home. It is a repetitive routine, but we have got a good group of people who have been here for years. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
