Kajal Cosmetic & Gift Shop

Kajal Cosmetic & Gift Shop is located in the Main Market of Sector 53. We are very close to Sgyan Bharti Public School so the area gets really crowded in the afternoons when the kids come out. The shop is filled with various items like bangles, creams, and different types of gift items for birthdays or weddings. We have glass counters that we have to wipe down multiple times a day because of the fingerprints. Sector 53 market is a lively place where everyone seems to know each other. Our shop isn't very large so we have to use the wall space all the way up to the ceiling to store our stock. Sometimes it is a bit of a struggle to reach the top shelf even with a stool. The lighting inside is just regular tube lights which do the job. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit when there are no customers. Most of the people who come in are women from the nearby colonies looking for something specific for a party or a household need. We keep the door open to the market street so we can see what is happening outside. It gets a bit hot during the peak of summer but the ceiling fan helps a little. It is a typical small-town shop where we focus on keeping things moving and helping neighbors find what they need.
