Cake N Gifts

We’ve been running Cake N Gifts for a while now, and you can find us right near the GIP Mall in Sec-18. It’s a busy spot, especially on the weekends when everyone is out shopping. The shop isn't very big, but we make it work with what we have. I usually handle the counter while another person helps with the baking in the back. We don't have a fancy website or a huge team of people. It’s just a small local business. Most days are spent making sure the cakes look alright and that the gift items are dusted. Sometimes the deliveries are a bit late because of the traffic around the mall, which is always a bit of a mess. We try to keep things simple here. We have different types of cakes and some small gift things like cards and toys. I started this because I always liked making stuff for my friends' birthdays. Now it's a full-time thing. The lights in the display case flicker sometimes, and the floor has some scuffs, but it’s a comfortable place. We know a lot of the people who live around Sec-18. They stop in for a quick cupcake or to order something for a party later in the week. It’s not a corporate chain, so things are a bit more relaxed. We just do our work and hope people like what they get. It’s a lot of hours, but I enjoy it. I’m usually here from morning until the mall closes.
