Our place is located on the Sector 51 main road, right across from Olive Garden and near the wine shop in Hoshiyarpur. It’s a spot where you see a lot of trucks pulling in and out because cement and steel are heavy things to move around. We spend a lot of our time loading and unloading bags of cement and long steel rods. It’s hard work and your clothes get covered in grey dust pretty quickly. We’ve been here for a while and have seen a lot of houses go up in the neighborhood. People stop by to check prices or see if we have enough stock for their next project. We don't have a fancy office, just a desk and some chairs where we handle the paperwork. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the traffic on the main road, but that’s just part of being in this location. We usually have a few guys around to help with the heavy lifting. It’s a basic business, really. We just supply the stuff people need to build things. Rain can be a bit of a headache because we have to make sure the cement stays dry, so we spend a lot of time moving tarps around during the monsoon. It’s just one of those things you deal with when you’re running a yard like this. We're here most days from early morning until the sun goes down.
