Agrods Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Tithariya Bhinga, right there at Dinesh Pratap Singh’s place. It’s a quiet area for the most part, except when we are in the middle of a big harvest. Then things get a bit frantic with everyone trying to get their stuff moved. The office is just a simple room with some old cupboards for the files and a table that has seen better days. We do not use a lot of fancy technology, mostly just notebooks and the occasional phone call to check on prices. It’s a long way from the big cities, and we like it that way because we are close to the land we work. Dinesh keeps things running smoothly enough, even when the rain makes the roads to the house a bit difficult to manage. We spend a lot of time talking about the weather, since that is what really runs our lives out here. When we first decided to call it Agrods, we just wanted something that sounded like what we do. It is not a polished business, just a bunch of us trying to help each other out with the farming side of things. You might see some sacks of grain sitting in the corner or someone’s boots by the door. It is just a real place where real work happens every day, without all the fluff you find in bigger companies. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
