Umiya Tiles

Umiya Tiles is located right on the main road in Village Rakhial, not far from the railway station in Dehgam. You can usually hear the trains whistling as they go past while we are helping customers pick out something for their bathrooms or kitchens. Being near the station makes it easy for people to find us, even if they aren't from right here in the village. We have a decent variety of tiles stacked up, though our shop isn't as polished as the ones you might see in the city. We keep things simple and try to help people find what fits their budget. A lot of our day involves unloading boxes from trucks and making sure nothing got cracked during the trip. It's a lot of physical work, and the dust from the road tends to drift in, so we spend a fair amount of time cleaning the displays. Most of the folks who come in are our neighbors or people from the surrounding Taluka who are building new homes. We don't go in for fancy talk or high-pressure sales. We just show you what we have and tell you the price. If it works for you, that’s great. We like being part of the local scene and seeing how the village is growing with all the new construction going on around the station area. It’s a good place to be for this kind of business.
