Balaji Marbles

You can find us over at Plot No 302 in the GIDC area of Dehgam. Being in an industrial zone means it’s not exactly a quiet neighborhood. There are always trucks idling nearby and the sound of other workshops going at it. Balaji Marbles has been tucked away here for a while now. Our space is mostly taken up by large slabs of marble that we get from different places. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, trying to navigate between the rows of stone. We don't have a flashy storefront because most of our work happens right there in the yard. We spend the day checking the quality of what comes in and helping people pick out what they need for their construction projects. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, and the stone holds the heat, so we usually try to get the heavy moving done early in the morning. We aren't corporate people; we’re just folks who know a lot about marble. If someone comes in looking for a specific color, we go hunting through the stacks together. Sometimes we don't have exactly what they want, but we usually have something close enough. It’s honest work, even if it’s a bit rough around the edges. We like the community here in Dehgam and have grown used to the hum of the industrial estate. It's just a regular yard where we do our thing every day without any fuss.
