The New Navrang School

The New Navrang School is located in Suhail Park on Sarkhej Road in Ahmedabad. This part of the city is always buzzing with traffic and people going to the markets. Our school building stands right in the middle of it all. It’s a place where children from the neighborhood come to learn their lessons. We have been here for quite some time now. The classrooms are simple, with wooden desks that have been used by many students before. We don't have a huge playground, but the kids find ways to play in the hallways or the small open space we have. The sun gets really hot in Ahmedabad, so we try to keep the rooms as cool as possible with big fans. The teachers are always carrying stacks of notebooks back and forth. We don't have any polished speeches or big promises. We just try to get through the syllabus and make sure the kids understand what they are reading. Sometimes the water cooler breaks down or a light bulb flickers, and we just handle it as it comes. It’s an honest kind of place. Parents stop by to chat with us at the gate about how their kids are doing. It feels more like a big family than a business. We just do the daily work of running a school in a busy part of town. Every day is a bit different, but the goal is always the same for us.
