Maharshi Gurukul

Maharshi Gurukul is located in Gandhinagar, specifically in Sector 21. If you know Gandhinagar, you know how it's laid out with all the sectors and trees. It’s a very organized city. Our place is right in the middle of that. Sector 21 is a fairly established part of town. The school isn't trying to be anything it's not. It’s a gurukul, so we have a certain way of doing things. The students come in, and we follow a set schedule every day. It’s a bit different from a standard modern school, maybe a bit more traditional in the daily flow and how we act. The building is okay. We have enough space for the classes and the kids. The trees in the area are nice; they give some relief from the Gujarat sun in the summer. We have chairs and tables, and the rooms are kept as clean as we can manage. People in Sector 21 know us well. We don't go around putting up big billboards or ads. Most people find out about us by word of mouth from neighbors. I spend my day making sure everything is running. Sometimes the plumbing has issues, or a light goes out, and we just deal with it. It’s a practical place. We focus on the daily lessons and making sure the students are where they need to be. It’s a good way to live.
