J M Desai Vidhyamandir

Over in Dehgam, you’ll find us at J M Desai Vidhyamandir. We are tucked away in a part of Gandhinagar that feels a bit more like a community than a big city. The school is a practical place, built to hold a lot of kids and not much else. We spend our mornings getting everything ready before the sun gets too high. There is always a bit of dust in the air, especially when the wind picks up around the 382305 area. Our classrooms are pretty basic, but they get the job done for the students who come here every day. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between the office and the classrooms. We don't have a huge staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, whether it is fixing a chair or helping out with a scraped knee. The bells ring out through the neighborhood, letting everyone know when the day is starting or ending. We see the kids growing up here, from the time they are small until they are ready to head off to whatever is next. It’s a busy life, and there isn't much time for sitting around. We just focus on the daily tasks, making sure the lessons are taught and the building is kept in one piece. It’s just a regular Gujarat school where people work hard and look out for each other every day.
