Pandit Deedayal Petroleum University

This is the School of Petroleum Technology, which is part of the larger university campus here. Our days are mostly filled with students coming and going between their classes and the labs. It’s a busy environment where there’s always someone studying in the corners or talking about their latest research projects. The building itself is dedicated to everything related to the petroleum industry, so you’ll see a lot of specialized equipment and technical books lying around. Managing the schedules takes up a good chunk of our time, along with looking after the classrooms and making sure the faculty has what they need for their lectures. It’s not just about the books though; there’s a lot of practical work happening in the labs where students get their hands on real tools. We try to keep things organized, though during exam season, the whole place feels a bit more chaotic than usual. The corridors are often filled with the sound of discussions about engineering and energy. It’s a straightforward academic setting without any unnecessary frills. Every single week, a lot of coffee is drank and plenty of paper is used by the staff and students. We focus on the daily tasks of running the school and helping the students get through their courses. It gets quiet in the evenings once the last lecture finally finishes.
