Shreyas Vidhyalay

Shreyas Vidhyalay is out in Hathijan, which is part of the Gandhinagar area. It feels a bit quieter out here compared to the main city. The school is a simple structure that fits right into the neighborhood. We have a small gate that stays open during the day and a patch of ground where the kids line up in the mornings. You can see the dust kicking up when they run around during recess. The classrooms are basic with just the essentials like benches, a table for the teacher, and a board. We have quite a few windows to keep the air moving because it gets stuffy in the afternoons. Most of our students live within walking distance, so you see the same faces every day. The staff is small, and we all know each other’s business, which is just how it is in a place like this. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour or two, and we just keep teaching through it. We don't have a big library, just a few shelves of old books that the students can borrow if they want to read something extra. It’s a practical place. We don’t make a big fuss about things. The main goal is just to make sure the kids from Hathijan have a place to go and learn their math and science every day without any trouble.
