You can find us at Shop 125 in Market Number 1 of the NIT area in Faridabad. It’s a crowded market, always full of people looking for something or other. Our shop is small, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. There are shelves filled with spare parts and tools for fixing phones. It usually smells a bit like solder and plastic in here. We spend most of our day hunched over small screens and circuit boards. It’s tedious work, but someone has to do it. People walk in with cracked screens or phones that won’t turn on, and we see what we can do. Sometimes we can fix it while they wait, and other times it takes a few days if we need a specific part. The market gets very busy in the evenings, so it can get a bit hectic in the shop with everyone asking questions at once. We don't have a fancy waiting lounge. Just a couple of stools near the counter. We’ve been in this market for a while and we know most of the other shopkeepers around us. It’s a lively place to work. We don't use a lot of big words to explain what's wrong with a phone, we just tell it like it is. If it’s broken beyond repair, we’ll say so. We just want to get people’s devices working again so they can go about their day. It’s just a regular local shop trying to handle the constant flow of broken electronics. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake.
