Shunti Bhatia Infocom

Shunti Bhatia Infocom is tucked right into the NIT area, specifically over by Kc Road near 4-5 Chowk. If you know that intersection, you know it gets pretty hectic with all the rickshaws and people moving about. We’ve been set up here at number 28 for quite some time. The shop isn't very large, so things can get a bit cramped when three or four people come in at once. We usually have the radio playing in the background to drown out some of the street noise. People come to us for all sorts of small tech things. Sometimes it's just a question about a bill or a device that stopped working right. We don't have a big team or anything, just a couple of us who know the ropes. The shelves are mostly full of boxes and old ledgers. It’s dusty work sometimes. We see a lot of the same faces every week, which is nice. It makes the day go by faster when you can have a real conversation instead of just rushing through a transaction. Sometimes we run out of tea or the lightbulbs flicker, but we manage. We aren't fancy and we don't pretend to be. It's just a place to get things done without too much fuss. Being near the chowk means there's always something happening outside the window. We just keep the shop running and help whoever walks in, even when the power goes out.
