S K Telecommunication

S K Telecommunication is located in Sector 9, right where the Huda telephone booth is. I've been here since back when people actually used the booths to make calls. Now, mostly people come in for mobile recharges, new SIM cards, or to fix their screens. It’s a small shop, barely enough room for three people to stand inside at once. I have a glass counter filled with chargers, cables, and some second-hand phones. The shelves are packed with boxes. It gets busy in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work. I spend a lot of time staring at small screens or trying to peel off old screen protectors. My eyes get tired by the end of the day. Sector 9 is a nice area, fairly quiet compared to the main roads. The booth outside is like a landmark for us. Even though things have changed with technology, the shop stays pretty much the same. I know most of the people who live around here. They come in to pay their bills or just to ask how to use a new app. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but I like talking to the neighbors. I usually keep a radio playing in the background to pass the time. It’s just me and my tools, sitting in the booth area of Huda, waiting for the next customer. Sometimes the internet is slow, and everyone gets a bit frustrated, but we just wait it out.
