Ravi Electric Works

Our shop is right on the Dabri Palam Road, specifically at Plot No Rz/L1 in Mahavir Enclave. If you know the area, you know how much traffic passes by here every single minute. Ravi Electric Works isn't a large place, just a simple workshop filled with copper wire, old motors, and testers. My hands are usually covered in grease or some kind of oil because there is always a ceiling fan or a pump motor waiting to be fixed. We started small and stayed that way because it is easier to keep track of things. People bring in their burnt-out motors or ask for specific electrical parts that are hard to find. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the whole block and we just sit outside on the stools until it comes back. It isn't a glamorous life, but it’s what we do. We have some regular customers from the neighborhood who have been coming to us for years. They know we don't use fancy talk. We just tell them if it can be fixed or if they need to buy a new one. The shelves are a bit disorganized, but I know where every screw and capacitor is hidden. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially with the soldering irons running, but we have a small fan that does the trick. That's us, just keeping things running.
