Mukeshkumar

This is Mukeshkumar. I work out of House No.990/A in the Nit area, specifically Dabua Colony in Faridabad. It’s a pretty standard neighborhood with lots of families and small shops around every corner. My workspace is actually inside the house, so it’s not like a big commercial store front you might expect to see on a main road. It’s quiet for the most part, except for when the kids are playing in the street outside in the late afternoons. I started this because I wanted to work for myself and using my own space was the easiest way to begin. I didn’t have a lot of extra money to go out and rent a big office. Faridabad is a tough city sometimes, but Dabua Colony feels like a real community where people look out for each other. I’ve known most of my neighbors for many years. My desk is right by the front window so I can see what’s going on outside while I work. I don’t have any big slogans or goals written on the wall. I just do the work as it comes in from day to day. Some days I’m busy from the early morning until late at night. Other days are slower and I just sit and wait for the phone to ring. It’s honest, practical work. I handle everything myself, from the cleaning to the actual jobs. The house number is 990/A, so you have to look closely at the gate to see it. It’s not flashy.
