Our place is at Plot No.-51/21 in the Industrial Area. It’s right opposite Eicher Tractor Ltd., so you can’t really miss it if you’re looking for that landmark. Maya Sales Corporation has been in this part of Nit for quite a while. The area is full of the sound of heavy engines and metal clanging all day long. We deal with a lot of sales and distribution, so there’s always trucks coming in and out. The yard is usually full of crates. It gets quite dusty because of all the construction and the traffic nearby. We have a small office tucked into the corner of the warehouse where we do the billing and the phone calls. It’s not a fancy setup. The chairs are a bit old and the files are stacked in piles on the floor. We don’t really have a marketing team or anything; we just talk to the people who come by. Often, we’re out in the heat checking on the stock. You get used to the grime on your clothes after a few hours of work. The sun can be brutal in the middle of the day, so we usually take a break when it’s at its peak. We just try to get the orders right and keep the customers satisfied without making a big fuss about it. It’s a practical, straightforward business in a tough industrial neighborhood where everyone is just working hard.
