Jmk Group

We are over at the Jmk Building in Nehru Ground, N.I.T. It’s a pretty central spot, so there’s always people walking by. Our office is D-11. It’s a functional space, nothing too fancy. We have some desks, a few old chairs for visitors, and a lot of paper everywhere. Working in N.I.T. means you get used to the noise of the city. We do a bit of everything here, managing different bits and pieces of the group's interests. Some days are just filled with meetings that go on longer than they should, and other days are quiet with just the sound of the keyboard clicking. We have a small pantry where we make coffee, though the machine is a bit temperamental. The building itself has been around for a while. We know the neighbors in the other offices, and we often run into them in the hallway. It’s a regular routine. We get in, check the mail, respond to whatever is urgent, and try to get through the list of things to do. There isn't any big philosophy behind what we do. We just keep the wheels turning. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which is good exercise I guess. It’s a decent place to work, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the Nehru Ground area over the years. It feels like home to us now.
