Interactive Composition Corporation(Macmillan Group)

Our workplace is situated in Faridabad at house number 2299 in Sec-7/A, which is part of the H.B. Colony. We are part of the Macmillan Group, so there is a lot of focus on composition and publishing work here. It is a residential-feeling area, so it’s not as noisy as the industrial zones of Haryana can be. Most of us here spend the day in front of screens, working on layouts, text, and getting documents ready for whatever comes next in the publishing cycle. The building itself is a standard house that was converted into a working space, which gives it a bit of a lived-in feel. We have got stacks of paper and old files in the corners, and the desks are usually covered in notes and coffee mugs. It is the kind of place where everyone knows each other’s lunch habits and families. Faridabad can get quite dusty and hot in the summer, but we keep the ACs running and stay focused on the tasks. We aren't really a public-facing shop where people walk in off the street, so it’s mostly just us and the occasional delivery person. It is a steady pace of work, sometimes getting a bit hectic when a major deadline is close. We just try to get the formatting right and make sure the files are sent out to the rest of the group correctly. It is a quiet life here in Sector 7.
