Gurukripa Machine Tools

Our place is at A 345 in the Dabua Colony part of Faridabad NIT. We are right near Sant Mica Christan High School, so we hear the school bells and the kids shouting during their break times. It’s a loud area, but we like the energy. The shop itself is packed with machine tools. We have stuff for lathes, drills, and all sorts of hardware that people in the neighborhood need. The floor is concrete and cold in the winter, so we wear thick socks. We spend a lot of time sorting through bins of bolts and cutters. Sometimes a shipment arrives late, and we have to stay into the night to get it all put away. My brother helps out when he can, but usually, it’s just a couple of us. We have an old radio that only picks up one station clearly, so we listen to a lot of the same songs. The tea stall nearby knows our order by heart now. We don’t have much room for a desk, so we do the billing on a piece of plywood over a barrel. It’s practical. People come in with questions about how to fix their equipment, and we try to point them to the right tool. It’s a lot of small tasks that add up to a full day. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people walking past every day.
