You can find us over in Sector 20 Mujessar, right at Shop No 5. We are pretty much directly opposite to Sector 22, so it’s a landmark most local drivers know. The shop is full of bearings and supplies for mills, which means there is a lot of heavy lifting. My back usually aches by four in the afternoon. We have been in this spot for a while, and the walls are a bit stained from the oil, but it’s a working shop, not a showroom. Customers come in with old parts, all rusted or worn down, asking if we have a match. Usually, we can find something in the back after some digging. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, so we use an old ladder that feels a bit shaky. There’s a cat that hangs around the front step sometimes; we call her Geeta too, just for fun. The traffic on the main road outside never seems to stop, and the dust settles on everything. We spend a lot of time wiping down the counters. It’s not the cleanest job, but it feels good to hold a solid piece of steel and know it’s going to fix a machine somewhere else. We don't use a computer for much, mostly just an old ledger and a pen. It works for us. We close up when the sun goes down and start all over again the next day.
