Design Ahead

You can find us at House Number 668 in Sector-18, Faridabad. It’s a residential area, so it’s a bit quieter than the industrial parts of the city. We’ve set up our workspace here because it’s easier to focus on design when there aren't trucks rumbling by every two minutes. Design Ahead is basically a small team of us who enjoy the creative side of technical work. We deal with a lot of planning and layout stuff. The house is always full of rolled-up charts and stacks of reference books. Since we are in Haryana, we get our fair share of heat and power cuts, but we’ve got backups for that. Most of our day is spent talking to clients on the phone or sitting around the big table in the main room debating where a wall should go or how a structure should look. We don't have a corporate vibe at all. Usually, someone’s family member is stopping by or we are sharing a meal together in the kitchen. It’s a very informal way to run a business, but it works for us. We’ve lived in Faridabad for years, so we understand how things get built around here. We don’t do any flashy presentations or use complicated words to impress people. We just draw what needs to be drawn and try to stay ahead of our schedule. It’s a small operation, but we stay pretty consistent.
