You can find Assam Tea Agency over at 5-M-6 N.I.T. It’s a fairly straightforward address to get to if you are in the neighborhood. We’ve been at this location for a good amount of time. The office is pretty small and we don’t have much in the way of decoration or anything like that. It is just a place to do business. Most days it’s just a couple of us here, making sure the tea gets to where it needs to go. We don't have any big signs or fancy lights out front. It’s just the unit number on the door. The N.I.T area is usually busy, so there is always something going on outside. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the work at hand. It can get a bit cramped inside when a big shipment comes in. We spend a lot of time counting bags and checking lists. It’s not the most exciting work, but it’s what we do. We like the fact that we are in a spot that’s easy for deliveries. People who know the area find us without any trouble. We don’t really use a lot of technology, mostly just paper and pens for keeping track of things. It feels more natural that way. The building is a bit old, but it stays dry and keeps the tea fresh. That’s the most important thing for us. We just take it one day at a time here. Every morning we start the same way and finish when the work is done.
