Alivesmart India Pvt. Ltd. is located over at 5C-40, Nit. It’s a bit of a specific spot to find if you aren't familiar with the layout around here, but once you get the hang of the numbering, it's easy. Our office is a modest space. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of employees; it’s a small group of us trying to make things work. The rooms are filled with computer screens and some prototypes we’ve been messing around with. It’s often a bit quiet, except for the tapping of keyboards. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. Usually, if you walk in, you’ll just see someone at a desk who will look up and say hello. The walls are mostly bare, maybe a calendar or a few notes taped up here and there. We deal with smart tech stuff, but we talk about it in plain English. There’s no point in using big words just to sound important. The NIT area is pretty central for us, which helps with getting around. Lunch is usually someone bringing something from home or grabbing a quick bite from a nearby stall. It’s a very grounded way of working. We aren't trying to change the world overnight, just trying to build decent products that actually do what they are supposed to do without a lot of fuss. There is always a pile of boxes in the corner waiting to be opened or shipped out to someone who needs them.
