Akshaya India is located in the industrial area of Seekri, which is out in Ballabgarh. We are situated right behind the telephone exchange. That’s usually the landmark we tell people to look for because the industrial plots all start to look the same after a while. It’s a dusty part of town with a lot of trucks moving in and out. The roads aren't always in the best shape, especially when it rains, but we’ve grown used to the bumps. Our building is a functional concrete structure. It wasn't built for beauty; it was built for work. There is a lot of open space inside where we keep our equipment and materials. The office part is just a small section partitioned off with some plywood and glass. It stays fairly quiet in there, though you can always hear the muffled sound of the factories nearby. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and looking over schedules. The walls are mostly bare, except for a couple of charts that are probably out of date. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you walk in, you’ll probably find one of us sitting at a metal desk or moving something around the floor. It’s the kind of place where you don't mind getting your hands a bit dirty. Seekri is a long way from the city center, but it’s where we belong. We just get on with things without making much of a fuss.
