Ahuja Watch & Mobile Shop

We have been running this shop in New Colony, Palwal, for a long time. It started out mostly with watches, but as things changed, we added mobile phones to the mix. Now the shelves are a mix of old-style clocks and the latest smartphones. It is an interesting combination to look at. My family has lived in Palwal for generations, so we know a lot of the families who come in. You might see an old man bringing in a watch that is thirty years old for a new battery, while his grandson is looking at a new phone right next to him. Our shop is not very large, so we have to use every bit of wall space we have. There are watches ticking all around the room, which creates a nice background sound. We also do some minor repairs on the spot if we have the right tools handy. It’s a local place where we talk about the news or the weather while we work. We do not have any fancy marketing or big posters. People just know we are here in the colony and they come to us when they need something fixed or a new gadget. We take things slow and try to make sure everyone leaves satisfied. It’s a simple life, opening the shop every day and seeing familiar faces walk through the door. We plan to stay here for a lot longer. Sometimes we share tea with the customers who stay to talk.
